Man Killed Over Girlfriend Tussle

Matthew Iyede,a 25 year old man has been stabbed to death by three friends over an alleged disagreement over a girlfriend at Eku,
Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.The incident which occurred at a popular drinking parlour Blue Sea Restaurant and Bar,in Eku,Delta state.


Late Matthew was said to have been ambushed by a certain Ese Uku who is alleged to have gone in company of other armed youths.It was also gathered that Ese warned Matthew to stare clear of his longtime girlfriend.


 Delta State Police Command spokesperson SP Celestina Kalu, confirmed the incident saying;

'The vigilante group, in collaboration with the Police, arrested two suspects in respect of the case. The names of the suspects are Kevwe Edward (21 years old) and Lucky Grant (19 years old). The suspects will be transferred to SCIIDC for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution,” .

 Matthew's relative Victor Iyede also confirmed the incident to The Punch correspondent saying Matthew was killed over a girl he had been dating.
