The word Today

Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. There is so much wickedness in the world; this you will see as you tune to news channels all around. The greater number of events carried by news round the world nowadays is that of man’s inhumanity to another. Stories of hatred and killings abound. All of these things we hear and see happening are all the work of one man; satan the devil. The bible says he came to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). And round the clock, the adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8). The good news is that Jesus came to give life instead and that is why we His children are shielded from the wave of wickedness the devil is propagating. God always keeps us His children away from the wickedness of this world. The Psalmist experienced this great exclusion from disasters and in our text expressed appreciation to God saying blessed be the Lord who hath not given us as a prey to the devil’s teeth. Are you a candidate of God’s preservation? If yes, you should join the Psalmist today to sing God’s praise. Praise the Lord! I John 5:19-20; And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Child of God it’s amazing that though the whole world lies in wickedness, our lives are hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Take out time to praise and worship the Lord today for being your shield and shelter from harm. Praise the Lord!
