Herdsman Arrested with Ak 47 Riffle

A Fulani herdsman has been arrested bin Enugu with an assault riffle.The 20 year old Ibrahim Adem male who hails from from Nasarawa was saidbtovjave expelled about six bullets while trying to evade arrest was also found to be possession of 24 live ammunition. The Enugu state police spokesperson who confirmed the arrest yesterday said the suspect lived at 9th mile in the State.While speaking, he said; “The suspect was nabbed by the combine efforts of the police and the members of the public from Affa-Udi community acting on a tip off. “The suspect before he was nabbed had expended about six shots on the air to evade being nabbed. “Before now, the police and members of the public have gathered information about the suspect’s antecedents in relation to bearing of sophisticated weapon within Affa-Udi axis in Udi council area and its environs,’’ Speaking further,he said the suspect is already helping vthe police with useful information about how he got the riffle.
