Venus Williams Loses Olympic match in first Round

Venus Williams, sister of Lawn tennis star Serena Williams has crashed out of the Olympic games.Venus has played in five olympic games and its the first time she did not make it past the first round.The game which lasted 3 hours saw Venus almost winning against Kirsten Flipkens,but ended 4-6,6-3,7-6 in favor of Flipkens.
Venus did not speak with reporters after the match but US tennis coach Mary Joe Fernandez said Venus was sick with cramping,stomach upset and dehydration before arriving Brazil.
Venus and Serena Williams will still play in the doubles at the Olympics.
