The Word Today

I Corinthians 7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

The value of a thing can be determined by the manufacturer. When a product is made from some advanced country of the world, you will consider that product to be of superior quality over same product made from one of the third world countries.

In Psalms 100:3, we are told that it is God himself that made us and if you are a creation of God, you are of the highest value. Again, the value of a thing is determined by the price for which it was purchased or what it cost to get it. Our text says you are bought with a price; that price is the precious blood of Jesus our Lord …Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (I Peter 1:18-19). Know this; your value is not determined by the circumstances you find yourself now, neither is your value determined by your colour. It is not also determined by what you have or have not.

You are of a very high value because you were bought with the highest price which is the blood of Jesus. Never let anyone despise you; you are so important to God. That is why God is so mindful of you and visits you every day (Hebrews 2:6). Psalms 139:14; I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Child of God, you are of the highest value in the eyes of God; refuse to exist less than your value, begin to live and exist in the consciousness of who God has made you to be. God bless you.
