Doctor Allegedly uses own Sperm for IVF

A gynecologist in Abuja Dr. Kalu Nwachukwu of Life point Medical center in Utako is currently in police detention over unethical practices.

Dr Nwachukwu is alleged to have drugged some of his female patients and had canal knowledge of them while they came for consultation regarding their fertility problems.
Trouble is said to started when one of the children whom the Dr. assisted her parents in conceiving via IVF was said to have been proven not to be fathered by the patient's husband.

The medical and dental association has claimed that Dr Nwachukwu has a clean slate at the association.

Questioning the continuous detention of Dr. Nwachukwu since August 4th 2016 ,his colleagues said:

This is all just to taint his image and the medical professional,” a fellow gynaecologist said in Nwachukwu’s defence. “I’m not saying he’s guilty, I’m also not saying he is innocent. That is what the court is for. But what the police is saying to impossibility. What drugs did he use? How much drugs did he give them? Did they test any of the women to know what drug they were given, even if did happen? “To do that, even if you could, you would have had to force a patient to take the drug. How would you do that in a consulting room in a hospital, busy with staff and patients all over the place. Then you wait for her to go to sleep before abusing her. And then she would wake up, reorganize herself and then drive home. By day or by night? The timeline is impossible.”

The police has warned families to do a thorough background check on the credibility of persons they employ as family doctors.

Meanwhile,Dr Nwachukwu has been remanded at the Kuje prison pending the determination of the case against him.
