Today's text is from proverbs 6:16-22.
God hates liars,proud people,people who shed innocent blood,wicked people,false witnesses.He says you should keep his commandments,bind it your heart and tie it around your neck so that when you go around your daily duties it will lead you,when you sleep it will keep you and when you are awake it will talk to you.
Mortal man may think its is absolutely impossible to keep the commandments but by we are able to abide by the laws.
Keep the Lord's commandments and you will see things turn around for you good and remember that obedience is better than sacrifice.Shalom!

William Sisters lose their Doubles Match

Lawn tennis champion sisters,Venus and Serena Williams have lost their doubles match for the first time in the Rio Olympics to Czech Republic's Lucie Safarova and Barbora Strycova by 6-3,6-4.
After the match,Venus did not speak to reporters but Serena did,saying: "We played terrible and it showed in the results.I wasn't playing the way I needed to play,I wasn't crossing the way I needed to cross".
The William sisters had won all their Olympic doubles with a record 15-0 wins.

Nigeria's Super Eagles wins its Second match in the Rio Olympics

The Super Eagles of Nigeria has won its second match in the 2016 Rio Olympics against Sweden.The match ended 1-0 in favor of Nigeria.With this win Nigeria has 6 points in the group and tops its group.
The goal was scored in the 40th minute of the match by Sadiq Umar.

Venus Williams Loses Olympic match in first Round

Venus Williams, sister of Lawn tennis star Serena Williams has crashed out of the Olympic games.Venus has played in five olympic games and its the first time she did not make it past the first round.The game which lasted 3 hours saw Venus almost winning against Kirsten Flipkens,but ended 4-6,6-3,7-6 in favor of Flipkens.
Venus did not speak with reporters after the match but US tennis coach Mary Joe Fernandez said Venus was sick with cramping,stomach upset and dehydration before arriving Brazil.
Venus and Serena Williams will still play in the doubles at the Olympics.

Teenagers Arrested with Human Skull in Akwa Ibom

A group of teenagers numbering four have been arrested in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State for being in possession of a human skull.
Leader of the group,one Emmanuel Edet who denied the allegation of being human part traffickers said he found the skull while clearing an uncompleted building in Oron.He said after he found the skull,he informed his friends who suggested that the skull be sold to a native doctor in Mbo LGA,claiming that they were apprehended on their way by the youth leader in Mbo who later informed the police.
Other suspects include Bright Effiong Okon,Ubong Udong and Okon Ita. All aged 20 and below.

Our text today is 2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.
The God we serve is the God of all comfort, the God that takes delight in comforting His children …Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God (II Corinthians 1:4). When He sent Jesus Christ into the world, He gave Him the same mandate as His; comfort the Zion dwellers …To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:2-3). This is why we can come out strong in the midst of trials and tribulations with excitement on our faces. Our God always turns our mourning into dancing and sorrows into celebration. When we should be wearing a heavy heart, God turns it into a garment of praise. Praise the Lord!
II Corinthians 4:8-10; We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. Today, take out quality time to thank and praise God for not allowing you to be where the devil thought you would be. Praise the Lord!

Two Sky Divers Die in America

Two Sky Divers have been reported dead in a Tandem jump in America.The incident occurred as their parachutes refused to open in the course of the jump.The names of the victims are yet to be made known.
The aviation authority of America is investigating the issue.

*So sad. I hope there was no foul play.How come both parachutes failed?
