Today's Word

TODAY’S WORD: 6th August, 2016
Acts 8:31
And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
I heard the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a prestigious father in the Lord, Pastor E. A. Adeboye say last year during one of the meetings in the redemption camp with millions of worshippers in attendance that he’s one of the richest men on earth if not the richest. This is what he said further to explain his wealth: he said if he stood on the altar to say he needed shoes to wear, he knew millions of different kinds of shoes would be delivered at his door step the following day.  This is the point he was making; because of his evangelistic work, millions have come to know Jesus and this automatically endears him to them and cause people to favour him even when he has not ask for anything.
Reading Acts 8:27-31 where our text is from, you’ll see that the Ethiopian eunuch was a very great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians that came to worship in Jerusalem. A man so high riding in his chariot invited Phillip a commoner to come sit with him in his exalted chariot. This happened to Phillip because of the evangelistic effort he engaged himself with.
Acts 2:46-47; And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Child of God, preaching the gospel brings you into favour with God and endears you to men. Plunge into irrecoverable blessing, be an incurable soul winner. Win a soul this season. God bless you.
