Abuja Cab Driver Returns Cash Found in His Taxi

Even when things are at their hardest, there are still a few good Nigerians out there who know that it is wrong to take what is not yours no matter the circumstance.


This was the case of an Abuja taxi driver Luke Olaniyi who found =N=50,000 in his taxi after he dropped his passenger Dr Ike Anya whom he had carried about town that day. Apparently Dr. Ike did not even know he had lost something until just about the time when the taxi driver gave him a call.

Not believing what he just experienced,Dr. Ike took to facebook to share his experience.

According to Luke Olaniyi, a 42-year-old married father of three (a 2-month old baby, and two others in primary school), he was recently robbed by thieves who trailed him after he sold his own car with the intention of buying a new one for his taxi business.

Luke admits to the bite that the economy has on his lean pockets but in his words, “I am a child of God, I have the discerning spirit to know that I shouldn’t take money which is not my own.” When asked whether he didn’t feel tempted at all upon finding this money in his car, Luke attests “I want to make heaven.” Luke Olaniyi worships with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and serves as Assistant Pastor at the Overflowing Grace Parish, Obasanjo road, Dutse, Abuja.
