Nico Rosberg has shocked the Formula One lovers and indeed the world by announcing his immediate retirement from the sport.
The German, who was only crowned world champion last Sunday, has decided to leave with
immediate effect. It amounts to one of the most extraordinary retirements with three years to go on his current £18.3million-a-year deal. He is 31 and in the prime of his career.
He says: 'I have finally climbed my mountain'.
