Andy Murray, the new world number one Lawn Tennis player has lost his prized cockerel.The cockerel was killed by a fox after storming out of his coop following an argument with his three hen wives.


Colin the rooster has been a hit with fans on social media after he first became a favourite of guests at Murray's hotel. And it was with great sadness that bosses at the Cromlix hotel near Dunblane, Scotland, announced the bird's untimely death.

Posting on their Facebook page on Thursday, the bosses said: 'It is with great sadness that we share that unfortunately Colin didn't return to the coop after a marital argument with the wives and we unfortunately lost him to a fox.

'Like a true celebrity rooster, he arrived out of nowhere, stole our hearts, lived intensely and went too soon.

 Fans commented , saying the cockerel's widows should be taken care of .
