Our very own Dream team 6 has qualified for the semi-finals in the Rio Olympic games 2016.They beat Denmark this evening 2-0 in a convincing win at the Fonte Nova Arena Nigeria will meet Germany in the Semi finals.The match is going to be a cracker . Congrats to the team and may 1996 History repeat itself in 2016.

Bank Manager connives with Fraudster to Defraud Customers

Ikechukwu Aghanenu, a former manager with Ejigbo, Lagos State branch of a new generation bank, popularly known as the Pan African Bank, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly colluding with a notorious fraudster, Anthony Okpala, to defraud two customers, one a dead woman, Oluremi Egunjobi, and a UK based businessman, Rabiu Lawal, of the sum of N14 million. It was gathered that the 41-year-old Aghanenu, committed the fraud when he was the manager of the bank's branch and was arrested after an investigation by the bank management discovered that he had diverted N4.014 million from the deceased’s bank account, while N10 million was said to have been fraudulently withdrawn from Lawal’s account Before the crime was committed, Okpala, 34, was said to to have presented himself and another accomplice who is now on the run, to Aghanenu as the relatives of the deceased with some forged documents authorising the bank to release the sum. It was gathered that the deal was perfected between September and November, 2015 and the money was withdrawn from the late Egunjobi’s account. The police reveal that within the same period, Okpala paraded himself as a business partner of Lawal and allegedly colluded with Aghanenu to withdraw N10m from Lawal’s account in tranches. The fraud came to light when a lawyer to the deceased’s relatives and Lawal respectively lodged complaints to the bank, and investigations indicted Aghanenu and he was dismissed by the bank and handed over to the police. *Culled from pulse.ng

Heartbreaking story of how a 3 year old was Raped and Bled to Death

Blessing Nwachukwu-Frank ,a facebook user shared the heartbreaking story below about her sister Grace Chikere Nwosu who was raped by a 22 year old man and bled to death at age 3 in 1994.She says she has decided to share the story so that others will learn from it. “So many people have wondered who my immediate second sister was. Even friends never met her or saw a pic of her. When she passed away, my mom was so distraught that she burnt all pics and saved only this. Take a good look at this sweet and innocent face. Her name was Grace Chikere Nwosu and she was my sister. I’m about to tell a story that hasn’t been told since 1994 not to gain sympathy but to advice and change lives. She never got to grow to leave a mark but I hope with this story, she does. I want her to be the face of children’s advocate cos she deserved at least that since her life was cut short at the age of 3 by a 22 year old man named Daniel whom I have never set my eyes on since 1994. This story is the reason I went into talk show- not for personal fame but hope that one I will be famous enough to get people to hear my story but I can’t keep waiting so if this will save lives, then so be it. If you know from my stories, we grew up in the slum of Mafoluku, Oshodi. Then when I turned six, my sister was three and my mom went to the hospital to give birth to a third child. Despite being poor, we were a very loving family and my parents still made sure we attended private schools but starved and drank Garri like for real not a metaphor. My mom used to say, education will change our condition. This story isn’t about me today so I will skip the details of my past. Perhaps someday I will have the courage to tell my own story. So my mom had this house help whose name was Chidinma, she also went to school but lived with us to take care of us after school hours. My mom was a kind soul who took her like her own but Chidinma was blinded by greed. So on that fateful period, my mom went to the hospital with my dad and aunt for some days, Chidinma sold my 3 year old sister for 150 naira to my neighbor, Daniel… I was 6 and had no clue why my sister wasn’t home. Little did I know that right in our face-me-I face you compound, Daniel RAPED my three year old sister till she bled. They returned her to our home to cover the act but my mom came home that day with my aunt and saw my sister bleeding and unable to move. My kid sister proceeded to give names then fell unconscious… Needless to say, she died after a week. She died on a Friday right in my mom’s arms and in my presence. My mom dropped the court case and had us move. I never understood why but she said God would enact justice but I wanted court justice. I wanted Daniel to pay for his actions. Pay for robbing the life and innocence of my kid sister. I didn’t get that justice but had to live with that pain for so many years before I learned to forgive Nkiruka's survivor story I put up her pic cos she’s late. The media doesn’t put up pic of rape kids cos they are underage and this perpetrators don’t get to realize what they did emotionally. I don’t know where Daniel is but I hope he sees this and remembers and apologizes to my family cos he not only ruined my sister but my trust in men when I was growing up. Made me live a life in fear of men until my dad, counselor and pastors gave me courage. She’s late since 1994 and she would have been 25. She was lively and smart and even at three, had more guts than me and always defended me. I have never forgotten anything about her. I loved her and I lost her before we could spend our best years together. Dear rapists, these children are just kids. Helpless, selfless and defenseless. We are to defend them not ruin them. What is sexually attractive about a child? They don’t even have developed sexual organs except for peeing. Parents, be careful of who you entrust your child to. The world is dark. Anything is possible. In five minutes, a rapist can change the life of their victim and loved ones. Just for five minutes pleasure, you ruin the lives of others. Control your five minutes urge. Sex with a child is without consent cos they are ignorant of life. A child can never seduce you. Please let’s fight for the lives of children. Let’s be Guardians all over the world and weed out perpetrators wherever. Never cover them up in fear of shame I put up this pic cos I’m the only legal in age survivor of my family. Update on Clash in Akokwa Community

A facebook user posted the update below of the clash in Akokwa,Ideato LGA yesterday. He said a Fulani man chased a young girl selling buns into an old woman's house,when the old tried to intervene,the Fulani man killed both the old woman and the you d girl with a shovel.Luckily,another girl who saw what has happened raised an alarm and the youths killed the Fulani man and five other Fulanis in the area before the police was able to restore order.He also said fulanis have fled the community as well as other neighboring communities.

Man Dumps Late Father In Septic Tank

A man named Chukwuma Udenwa(37),from Uli,in Anambra State has been arrested in Asaba foe allegedly dumping the corpse of his deceased father in a septic tank at his rented apartment in Okpanam,near Asaba in Delta State of Nigeria.MR Udenwa who is a brick layer confessed to the crime after his landlord who had discovered the corpse after a foul smell kept oozing in the compound and informed the police who arested Udenwa. The accused said lack of funds to deposit the corpse at a morgue prompted him to dispose the body in the septic tank.He had lied to his neighbors that his late father's body was at the mortuary. Police say he will be charged to court soon.

Six Dead in Communal Clash in Imo state

About six people have been allegedly killed in Akokwa,Ideato Local Government Area of Imo state,Eastern Nigeria.Clashes were said to have broken out between the indigenes and the Hausa community in the area. The cause of the clash is yet unknown but the police is said to have intervened.

A young man called Damilare who goes by the instagram handle Jerryboidasaint' is alleged to have been caught stealing in Ghana and was given the beating of his life.According to a Facebook user, Annybrown Ahanmisi who initially posted on her Facebook wall last month warning people about a thief who stole from her sister disclosed that Damilare, who goes by the name ‘jerryboidasaint’ on Instagram stole and absconded with her sister’s gold jewelry, money and urged people to be careful around him. However, after allegedly stealing from Anny’s sister, Damilare ran to Ghana to continue tricking and stealing from unsuspecting people, he then met his downfall after he was caught.He is said to be an Engineering graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University and leaves in Abuja.
