Basketmouth and Family Robbed at Gunpoint

Comedian Basketmouth and his family were this morning robbed at his Lekki phase 1 home. His friend and colleague confirmed this today via the post below:

 "Basketmouth was robbed this morning in his home in lekki phase 1 between the hours of 2am and 4am, 7th of September 2016. He and his family were held at gun point while the sad episode lasted. Nobody was hurt. Valuables were taken including the cctv device. A report has been made at the police station. He can't be reached at the moment but will be back on as soon as possible."

Army Arrests Suspected Militant Leader

Men of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected leader of a militant group who specialize in bombing pipelines. Mr. Gabriel Ogbudje is said to be behind the bombing of NPDC pipeline Shoreline major delivery trunk line within Ogo-Oteri general area on the 26th of August.

 Acting Director Army Public Relations Officer, Col Sani Usman Kukasheka said this in a statement released.The statement reads:


  “The suspected militant, who was trailed, was arrested by troops along Agbor-Abraka road, Edo State on Tuesday 6th September 2016. “He has been on the run since he was declared wanted because of his public declaration as the leader of the militant group “Otugas Fire Force” and his subsequent declaration of the threat code named “Crocodile Tears”, which was published by the Vanguard and Thisday newspapers on 31st August 2016, while the Brigade was engaged on the military field training exercise nicknamed “Operation Crocodile Smile”.

 “Gabriel was arrested along with his accomplice, Mr. Elvis Dweller Ejus. Both suspects were handed to Operation DELTA SAFE for further interrogation and subsequent handing over to the relevant security agency for prosecutions.”


 Col. Kukasheka also stated that Gabriel Ogbuje was arrested along with two other persons, Mr. Lawson Samson and an elderly man, Mr. Iyang Ekpo in Calabar, Cross State while driving in a vehicle with registration number, CRS 86 AO1 on Saturday, 3rd September 2016.

Cecilia Ibru Loses Husband

Olorogun Michael Ibru, the head of the Ibru family has died.He died yesterday Tuesday 6 september in a US hospital after battling with his health for about 8 years.


 His death comes just a few months after the burial of his younger brother Olorogun Felix Ibru who was a former Governor of Delta state He died at the age of 86.

Until his death, he was married to Mrs Cecilia Ibru, former managing director of Oceanic bank.

Man hits 5 Day Old baby he mistook for a Doll

A 63 year old man has been arrested in Greater Manchester for hitting a 5 old baby across the face as her parents shopped at Tesco supermarket.

 The baby who was out for the first time was in a trolley when her mother's friend who was shopping with her husband was called upon by her neighbor to come see 'this beautiful baby'. As she came close to see the baby, her husband quickly walked pass her and hit the little baby across the face, he quickly moved back as the child let out a painful cry .

Realizing what he had done, he initially denied that anything had happened even with the red mark visibly showing across her face.

He later began to apologize,claiming he thought its was a baby doll! The child was taken to a hospital while the man was arrested.

Suspect Who Killed Lagos Businesswoman Nabbed

On August 17th 2016, it was reported that a 50 year old business woman named Mabel Mbah Okafor was killed in her house at Ajah and before the police could get to the scene of the crime the assailant had escaped.

Well less than month after he committed the crime, the house security to Mrs Okafor, was traced to Bali in Taraba state and has been arrested for killing his boss and stealing her phones and jewelries.


The suspect has been brought back to Lagos where he will be charged to court.
